Frederick, Maryland, February 7, 2012 − ACDi, the largest electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider in Maryland, today announced it has acquired the assets of EMS provider Fawn Electronics of Nashville, NC from Fawn Industries. ACDi has entered into a long term lease on the existing facility and expects to retain all employees at the state-of-the-art operation located 40 miles east of Raleigh. The operation will operate as ACDi.

"By leveraging the unique strengths and talented teams of our Frederick and Nashville operations, we now offer the most advanced and complete EMS for companies needing electronics design and small to medium volume electronics manufacturing services," said Hornbaker.

The former Fawn Electronics operation brings a number of new capabilities to ACDi. The facility is certified to build nuclear products and also has expertise in the medical industry, outstanding capabilities for cables and harnesses, state of the art auto insertion equipment for thru hole printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, and bed-of-nails integrated circuit test (ICT) capabilities. On the flip side, ACDi has capabilities that will help expand the Nashville operation, including an International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) registration to support manufacturing of defense-related equipment, in-house design services, and a state-of-the-art flying probe tester.
