ACDi Community Involvement – Over $100K Raised!

December 8, 2015

Golf check 2015 MDOver the years, ACDi has held and participated in numerous events in an effort to give back to the community.  This year we broke the $100,000.00 mark for money and donations made through our community involvement!! Thank you to everyone who has made this possible through your continuous support.

During ACDi’s 3rd North Carolina Annual Charity Golf Tournament, over $9,000.00 was raised this year, continuing our trend of beating the numbers from previous years!  The NC tournament is held to assist My Sister’s House, an organization whose mission is, “To provide effective, comprehensive, inclusive and holistic services for women, children and men who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, support and education, believing that everyone deserves a violence free life.”

ACDi’s NC plant also donated to assist with the Nashville Police Department in the “Cops and Kids Christmas” at Wal-Mart.  This fund raiser works to provide children with toys, school supplies, and clothing, ensuring that these children not only receive gifts during the holidays, but essential items that they may not be able to obtain on their own.

ACDi MD’s 7th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised over $13,000.00, and proceeds will benefit The Heartly House and The Patty Pollatos Fund.  “Heartly House serves Frederick County residents who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.  Heartly House has been providing comprehensive services for over 30 years.”  The Patty Pollatos Fund assists with medical expenses for diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Cancer, as well as raises funds for other local charities in need of assistance.

The 2nd MD plant “Stuff a Truck” event held this November collected over 1,100 canned food items, as well as around 35 large boxes of clothes, gloves, and hats.  All supplies donated were sent to our local food bank, soup kitchen, and shelter.

We could not do this without all of you, our employees, our customers, and our friends, who have worked to make a difference in our community. Thank you!
