ACDi offers assembly and testing services for both quick-turn prototype and medium-to-large order production runs. In addition to board level assembly, we offer complete turnkey services including parts procurement, testing, mechanical assembly and final integration. All of this is done from our 65,000 sq. ft. facility in Frederick, MD.

Facilities Overview

We've recently made many equipment investments in our facility to make it one of the most technologically advanced in the region. We have 3 brand new MyDATA SMT machines - MY9+, MY12 & MY15+ - which are specifically geared toward high-mix production facilities. In addition to being able to handle advanced technologies (i.e. 0201s, fine pitch components, BGAs), the MyDATAs give us the flexibility to decrease our set-up times and to increase our changeover speeds, allowing multiple jobs to be started and completed in the same shift.

Our YesTech Y2000 Automated Optical Inspection equipment was also added to our production floor to increase inspection times and reliability. The advanced color AOI system is capable of flagging manufacturing defects such as component placement errors, wrong components and missing components. In addition to first articles and production sampling, every SMT CCA is verified through our AOI process.

BGA Placement, Repair, and X-Ray are all done on our production floor. Our DRS-24 Rework Station can be used to remove / install leaded, lead-free and hi-temp BGAs. Our CR Tech equipment provides X-Ray images of hidden solder joints, and is equipped with a rotational table we can rotate the UUT through the X-ray column, taking pictures at various angles. The newest addition to our repair station is an ERSA 100A, a hybrid benchtop rework system that allows for safe removal and replacement of small SMDs.

We added our Vitronics Wave Solder Machine to meet the needs of both leaded and lead-free customer requirements. Equipped with a state of the art fluxer, this machine is configured to solder densely populated PCBs. We have our Vitronics Wave machine in-line with our ElectroVert AquaStorm Cleaning Machine. The Aquastorm provides a high-pressure cleaning system. The complete re-circulatory DI system we use in the DI rinse provides cleanliness levels ready for conformal coating, if necessary.
