In 2014, ACDi added an Engineering Program Manager, Bob DiDonato, a Bachelor’s graduate from John’s Hopkins University, to support its growing engineering services and capabilities.   “The addition of the engineering program manager will offer customers additional services in their product development cycle, from assistance with minor modifications, next generation models, to more complex engineering solutions, enabling faster and more efficient time to market options” explains Gabriel Kenny, COO.

His engineering experiences range from very complex systems such as aviation radar systems and identification friend or foe (IFF) systems, to less complex but highly reliable land mobile and military radio communication systems, to simple devices such as cables, battery chargers, and audio accessories.  Projects that he was the lead program manager on include a land mobile radio, and an advanced audio accessory tactical suite of equipment. He also developed a very large pilot test for a major government agency to gain valuable information on an emerging technology.

Along with the addition of the Engineering PM, ACDi hired Doug Nguyen, a University of Connecticut graduate, as ACDi’s Quality Manager.  Doug comes from ten plus years in the PCBA industry, holding various roles, Production and Inspection Supervisor, to Document Control Manager, to Project/Program Manager, and finally to Quality Manager.

This experience has provided him clear insight into the inner workings of the industry and a greater understanding of the processes for all stages of product development and production.   Through his role as PM, he has developed a strong customer -focused perspective, which when matched with his work in quality management systems focusing on ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 certifications, he will seamlessly combine the goals of ACDi with the goals of its customers.
